Ms. Jenn's Class: Ocean

Hello,

We kicked off week two of our ocean theme today. Lina and I have a lot more fun in store for the rest of the week! 

Just a general reminder... I teach at Discovery Garden on Mondays and Fridays. You may also see me on an occasional Wednesday, when my schedule allows. I am very excited to be teaching full-time starting this fall. Lina is at Discovery Garden Monday through Friday and currently teaches the class Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Here is the schedule for the week.

Monday: jelly fish

· Fine Motor: Sea Aquarium

· Literature: Secret Seahorse

· Art: Jellyfish

· Math: counting jellyfish tentacles

Tuesday: fish

· Fine Motor: finger pinchers to catch fish

· Literature: Hooray for Fish

· Art: rainbow fish paper plate

· Math: counting “fish scales”

· Science: observing seashells and seashell sort

Wednesday: fish

· Fine Motor: stringing shells

· Literature: Beach Day

· Art: swimmy fish

· Math: counting fish/sorting fish by colors

· Literacy: fishing for letters

Thursday: fish

· Fine Motor: sea urchin

· Literature: Fish Eyes

· Art: finger painting water and fish art project

· Math/Science: sorting seashells based on sized

Friday: crab

· Fine Motor: sea creature play dough

· Literature: Way Down Deep in the Deep Blue Sea

· Art: bowl crab

· Math: number recognition
