The students have really enjoyed the beginning of dinosaur week! One student brought in some dinosaur figurines, and these have been great for giving the kids a more realistic idea (and is different from looking at pictures in a book) of what some of the dinosaurs look like. We talked about the Triceratops today. I pointed out how the Triceratops had 3 horns on his head, and that tri- means three. We brainstormed some other words that begin with tri-, such as triangle and tricycle. Ms. Salouma also played dinosaur bingo today with the kids. Some of the names of the dinosaurs are really difficult, but the students were able to look at the picture of the dinosaur on the card and match it to their bingo mat! Looking forward to more dinosaur fun the rest of the week!
