Eric Carle Week

This week we will be reading books written by Eric Carle. We will also be preparing for our end of the year celebration this week where the kids will perform The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We will be creating props, acting out the story, and learning some new songs this week as part of our preparation. It should be a lot of fun!

Monday:

·         Book: The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle

·         Art: Caterpillar paper late puppet

·         Math: caterpillar counting game

·         Outside Activity: squirting at targets with a spray bottle

Tuesday:

·         Book: The Little Cloud by Eric Carle

·         Art: Butterfly art project

·         Sensory: shaving cream

·         Outside Activity: toy car wash

Wednesday:

·         Book: The Mixed Up Chameleon by Eric Carle

·         Art: creating fruit from The Hungry Caterpillar/fruit prints

·         Outside Activity: squirting at targets with a spray bottle

Thursday:

·         Book: Slowly, Slowly, Slowly Said the Sloth by Eric Carle

·         Art: creating food items from The Hungry Caterpillar

·         Outside Activity: relay races

Friday:

·         Book: 10 Little Rubber Ducks by Eric Carle

·         Art: continuation of creating food items from The Hungry Caterpillar

·         Outside Activity: finger painting outside
